Office of Hawaiian Affairs

Finanzierung des Office of Hawaiian Affairs vom Staat Hawai‘i, zugleich ist die Organisation mit einem hohen Grad an Autonomie ausgestattet und dient der Interessenvertretung der hawaiischen Bevölkerung. Ziel ist „the betterment of conditions of all Hawaiians and to provide Hawaiians the opportunity for a better life and future.” Seit 2015 ist das OHA auch offizieller Ansprechpartner für die Rückführung von iwi kūpuna (menschliche Überreste hawaiianischen Ursprungs) und moepū ((Grabbeigaben).
